Aker sogn are in the capitol Oslo.

Hedemarken are in the region Hedmark, north of Oslo.

Hedemarken is the landscape on the eastern shore of lake Mjøsa, about 100km/60 miles north of Oslo. Hedemarken covers the municipalities of Hamar, Stange, Ringsaker and Løten. Former municipalities/parishes are Romedal, Vang, Furnes and Nes.

When it comes to Aker parish, be also aware that there is an area and a farm called Åker just outside Hamar town. The name goes back in history at least to around 1000AD.
