I am searching for information on Caroline Carlson Vellum. She immigrated in 1879, age 10 from Oslo. I would like to know more about her family?? Nothing found in church books for immigrating out or birth record.
I will be in Stange the end of June, would like to visit a farm where she lived and maybe even meet relatives that did not leave Norway.

Amusingly, I find on the map that Nedre Kåterud is located less than a 1/4 mile away from the Migration Museum, which will surely have a lot of information about the emigration to the US from that region

She is person 2416, and emigrated 1879 May 10, and was listed as being 10 years old.

Notice that spelling vary in Norway.
The same farm might have it's name spelled in different ways: Mellum, Mellem, Mellom.
