Norsewood: Johannes ENGEBRETSEN and his wife, Inger Marie

I am trying to research the family of Johannes ENGEBRETSEN and his wife, Inger Marie (possibly PEDERSDATTER).

One source suggests that Johannes was born in Sweden. However, the people of Norsewood believed he was the brother of another settler, Engebret ENGEBRETSEN.

In the book by Sten Aminoff, Svenskarna I Nya Zeeland: Den svenska utvandringen till Nya Zeeland fram till 1940 (Publ 1888, ISSN 0284-8341). He suggests that this is Johannes' and Inger's marriage record:

Can someone please tell me if this has any info on where he was born?

On the other hand, Engebret ENGEBRETSEN SANDER was born at Josefberget, Sør-Odal, Hedmark, Norway. His birth/christening is here:
Hedmark fylke, Strøm (Odalen), Ministerialbok nr. 5 (1811-1850), Fødte og døpte, Christening (May 29) 1836, side 76.

Is there any evidence to suggest that Engebret and Johannes were, or were not, brothers?

Hei, Johannes : born in Eds ,Dalarna in Sveden 1832.
Christening : Eds Forsamling , Dalsland in Sveden.
Father: Engelbreckt Johansson

Inger Marie Pedersdatter , born 4. may-1825 in Aremark, Østfold in Norway.
Father .: Peder Andersen

They are not brother`s, Engelbrect`s parens are : Engelbrect Evensen and Kari Larsdatter.

Thank you. This is great. I'd worked out the idea that they were brothers was probably a myth - one that's been passed down for generations!

I think it's actually quite funny.
