My Great grandfather's name was Tellef Knudsen born 1828, and died 6/7/1893 in Oyestad. His first wife was Elise R. Lerestveit d. 1867, and he had 5 daughters with her; Inger Katrine Knudsen b. 1855, Laura Helene Knudsen b. 1858, Pauline Mathilde Knudsen b. 1860, Jorgine Marie Knudsen b. 1863 d. 1868 and Severina Olava Knudsen b 1865. His 2nd wife was Gunhild A. Hendricksen from a farm named: Lindtveit. Their children were Knud Ludvig Knudsen b. 1870, Helene Oline Knudsen b. 1874, Tellef Gunerius Knudsen b. 1876, Andreas Anton Knudsen b. 1879, Johan Martin Knudsen b. 1881 and Anna Marie Knudsen b. 1888 all born in Oyestad. I believe most of the men were sailors or steam boat captain. My grandmother was Anna Marie. She came to NewYork in 1909. Any connection to anyone?
