I found an Aslak Aslakson in the 1910 North Dakota census, Eddy county, Gates Township.
He is 45 years old and married to Sigrid age 34. They have one girl, Agnes age 4.
Perhaps this is the wrong family...since the other children born in Norway are not with this family. I just wondered if Aslak might have re-married..since his first wife died???
It says he immigrated 1886 and Sigrid immigrated 1902...so I know these dates are a problem...but you said he was in Michigan earlier....

The same family is in the 1920 census, in the same location.

Hei igjen!
Also found an Olaf Aslaksen age 50 in the 1920 Ohio census, Loraine county.
He is married to Louise, age 43 and they have 6 children (none of the names match the ones born to Olav and Aasne). This Olaf immigrated in 1903 and Louise immigrated in 1905...and she was born in the Falkland Islands.
Olaf is a captain on an ocean freighter (ship).
