message board in January of 2003..... The message was in regard to Hans
Arneson and his brother Ole who were headed for North Dakota..... Hans was
my husband's grandfather . We would be happy to share information ....

My husbands grandmother was a Bell Arneson who married Irvine Snelling (was
Snellingen at one time but dropped the en after being in Canada). Bell
lived in southern Sask., around Milestone. I wonder if there could be a
relationship. My husband is not sure about his great grand parents but I
can likely find out from his uncles.

You seem to be up on Norwegian genealogy...I am not. My last name is Kleppe
and I understand my grandpa picked out this name when he immigrated from
Norway around 1919. Do you know anything about the name Kleppe? Someone
once told me any Norwegian would be proud to have the name Kleppe so it got
me wondering. My grandmas maiden name was Bakken and her family farmed at
Bromhead Saskatchewan.

If anyone can give insight into tracing our families we would be happy to
here from you.
