RATIONALE: soc.culture.aryan

This proposal offers a global Big-8 newsgroup for persons of pure Aryan
heritage. The newsgroup will serve as a central portal for the
networking, education, and socialisation, of Aryan persons around the
world.

CHARTER: soc.culture.aryan

The newsgroup soc.culture.aryan is a global Usenet newsgroup for
discussion of Aryan culture and preservation of the Aryan race. All
issues and subjects relating to persons of pure Aryan backgrounds are
on-topic.

Banned:

*binaries (except digital signatures)
*excessive crossposting (no more than 3 groups including s.c.a.)
*commercial and private-party advertisements and auctions.

Todd M. McComb and Russ Allbery of NAN moderating team for a Big-Eight
discussion.

Why and how was it "rejected"?

It seems like a group that I would not use, and it is unlikely that I
would approve of the sort of people, or the sort of ideas in the group.
But I think that above-ground discussion of all topics is better than most
alternatives.

Todd M. McComb rejected it in email. He provided a reason, purportedly
that the UVV was not equipped to conduct polls on highly controversial
proposals.

It seems like a group that I would not use, and it is unlikely that I
would approve of the sort of people, or the sort of ideas in the group.

I feel the same way about several existing newsgroups.

But I think that above-ground discussion of all topics is better than
most alternatives.

Whether that was the *only* reason why the proposal was
rejected is a different question. Now that we're no longer
doing votes on proposals, I suppose we're going to find out
the answer .

According to the current group creation process, Todd has zero input on
the creation of groups. Whatever other reasons he had for rejecting the
group are irrelevant under the new regime.
