Nordic Social Groups ca 1917

Does anyone know about the existence of Nordic Social Groups in the
1916-1920 era in the New York City area and if any membership rolls
still may exist? Any suggestions would be welcome. I am trying to track
down how a married couple may have met each other during this era. He
was Danish and she was Swedish and they both met in NYC.
