My neighbors were Mr. Gjostdahl and his daughter Agnes. She died recently and I have a couple of photo albums containing some really old photos. I'd love to give these albums to someone who is related to the family. There is no family in this area, but if you're related and want to bring these photos into the fold, please contact me.

I'm not a close relative of this family, but I'm a local historian with Tinn as my speciality and has worked quite a bit with old pictures from Tinn. So I would be very interested in receiving the collection. I will immediately bring it to the local museum, Tinn museum, for permanent storing.

Since Mr. Gjostdal had several siblings, there are quite a lot of people who are descendants of his siblings, and it could be very difficult to decide who "deserve" it most, and who is the best to take care of it for the future.

This is such good news! I'm getting ready for work now, but I'll pull out the photo albums soon to take a last look at them. One of the albums is more recent, with photos of Agnes. I'll see if my brothers and I can identify any people or locations before before I send them off. Can I get an address to send them to? Hi, I'm not related in direct line, but my mom's cousin Agnes Joistdahl
born 10 Mars 1910, her parents: Johannes(John) Joistdahl born 1887
and Joran Overland.
Johannes and Joraan had two children: Agnes b. 1910 and Arthur.
Arthur had a daughter Deanna and a son Orin, Orin Joistdahl lives in York England.

Johannes (John) 's parents: Birgit Nilson Joistdahl b. 1856 and Herbjørn Høljeson
Skeie b. 1856 and they had these children:
Hølje 1880, Ola 1883, Johannes (John) * b.1887, Øystein b.1889,
Herbjørn b.1891*, Gunnulv 1894 and Aslaug 1899.
Birgit's parents: Nils Olsson Joistdahl b. 1854 and Aslaug Olsdatter Stuvetraa b.1825
As I can see, there's the same ancesters.
