Ole Andersen Bjørnevig born abt. 1804 in Sannidal

Hello,

I am looking for the birth record for Ole Andersen. I believe he was a crofter of Bjørnevig under the main farm Moe in Sannidal. I have not found his confirmation record either, and would certainly like to see that as well.

Ole was married 15 Oct 1837 to Margrethe Torbjørnsdatter. In this record we see that he was 33 years old at the time of his marriage and from the farm Moe. We also see that his father was Anders Olsen. I believe Ole's father was the Anders Olsen living on the Levang Vestre farm in Sannidal at the time of the 1801 Census. This seems to be the only suitable Anders Olsen from the 1801 Census; however, without a birth record for Ole Andersen, this is not certain. http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/we ... erk=3#ovre

I think I also found Ole in the "Landed property tax register of 1838 for Sannikdal administrative district." He was listed on the Levang vestre farm with his (probable) father Anders Olsen. See http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/da/ma08161838.html

I did also hire a researcher at the Norwegian Emigration Cetner to look for Ole Andersen's birth record. They could not find his birth or confirmation records. They do belive they found probable father Anders Olsen in the bygdebok “Sannidal og Skaatøy” printed 1950 on page 401 of volume 2 under the crofter farm Stangnes under Levang. I do not have a copy of these pages, so cannot quote them.

Any help or guidance you could provide to find the birth or confirmation records for Ole Andersen born about 1804 in Sannidal would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading my post.
