Baltimore American, Maryland. Friday 1 August 1919, Vol CCXXVI, p 16:

Body of Drowned Woman Identified
Said to Be Miss Nicola Tanger, a Norwegian, Employed as a Domestic Here.

The body of a woman found floating off Pier 2, Pratt street, last week was identified yesterday as the remains of Nicola Tanger, Norwegian, who had been employed in Baltimore as a domestic.
Wednesday afternoon a woman, who refused to give her name or any clue to her identity, entered the Morgue and declared the body to be that of Miss Tanger, who had been employed as a nurse by a family at Roland Park until a few weeks ago. The woman making the identification declared that the New York Employment Agency could probably verify the identification.
Mr. Richard A. Banning, 1714 Harlem Avenue, a representative of the employment agency, was asked to go to the Morgue, and stated that it was his belief that the woman was Miss Tanger. He stated that the drowned woman had been to his employment bureau on several occasions.
