Jørgen Isaksen Mellandsø

Thanks to all who replied to my question some years ago. Jørgen Isaksen Mellandsø had a daughter Marta who married Peder Olsen. They died in America. They had a daughter Jorgine who married Mortin Brevik. They also died in America. Marta had many siblings who remained in Norway. Is any one there tracing Jørgen Isaksen Mellandsø??
Martha or Marta's mother was Andrea Andersen, the second wife of Jorgen.

Hello Vonda,

going through the confirmation lists related to the Dolm Church ministerial books 1818-1826 & 1827-1842, I find the following children of Jørgen Isaksen and Andrea Andersdatter:

Jørgina on Oct 1st, 1831, aged 16.
Martha on Oct 27th, 1833, aged 15.
Maren Anna on Sep 17, 1837, aged 15.

Moreover, the Family Search website adds Mathea, born 31st Dec 1832, christened 17th Feb 1833.

The 1801 census indicates that Jørgen Isaksen was barn approx. 1761, and his first wife Margrethe Mortensdatter approx. 1752. They were wed 13th Feb 1785 (Family Search), and their 3 children were:
Dåret ( Daaret ) b. abt 1789
Marta b. abt. 1792
Isak b. abt. 1796.

I have not found the death/burial of Margrethe Mortensdatter, who was 49 years as per 1801.
Nor have I found the wedding of Jørgen Isaksen to Andrea Andersdatter.
My guess is that Andrea Andersdatter is the one born 12th May 1795 - do you know anything about that ? In case my guess is correct, they were probably married around the birth year of Jørgina ( Abt. 1815 ).
I have not looked for any children being born between 1823 and 1832 - if you have registered any additional children, I should be pleased to be informed.

Jørgen Isaksen Melandsjø was confirmed 1st Nov 1781, 18 years old, thus born 1763, not 1761 as per the 1801 census.

We find a Maren Anna Jørgensdatter married 3rd Jan 1851 - No 3 on the page :

She is born at Mellandsøe (Melandsjø), the age is perfect, and I think the father is Jørgen Isaksen
( Although Family Search has interpreted his name as Jørgen Jørgensen. Anyway, I can't find any Jørgen Jørgensen at Melandsjø,
and no other Maren Anna at about that age. )
The groom is Anders Ingebrigtsen from the neighbouring parish Hemne.
The family can be found at the 1865 and 1875 censuses. 3 children are reg.:
Christian Adolf Andersen, born abt 1852
Johan M. Andersen, born abt 1858
Albert Andersen, born 19th July 1866 ( as per Church book ).

We have additional info about Albert. He married Laura Pauline Olsdatter, b. 23rd July 1867, at Bruholmen, Dolmøya, Hitra. Daughter of Johannes Johansen Kvalvik and Ingeborg Antonsdatter.
The couple moved to Ansnes, Hitra; they were shopkeepers and farmers. The son Arvid Leonhard Albertsen was born 11th October, 1897. On the night between 13th and 14th October, 1899, a violent hurricane hit the fishing fleet assembled at and outside Titran, Frøya, 142 fishermen lost their lives that night, and 29 boats were wrecked. Among those who never came back was Albert Andersen.
The widow and the son Arvid moved to Bruholmen, Dolmøya, after 1900, and later used the family name Broholm. There are many descendants.

Moren Lauras foreldre var Ole Pedersen Broholm og Martha Marie Kristiansdtr.
