Searching for the birth/baptism record for Julius McDonnell. According to his naturalization records he was born in Sund, Norway on Septmber 24, 1889. Emigrated in 1896. I have not been able to find the records.

If this is him in the US census 1910, McDonnel is a name fom his stepfather. His mother, Inga, is said to have married Chas McDonnel six years before, that is about 1904. Notably, there are two more siblings born in Norway, Olga i 1894 and Harold 1896

Then Sund was probably correct after all, short for Farsund. I have corrected my entry above.
Akiowk in his wedding record may possibly be a corruption of Egvaag, where he was born.
